The Wasatch Citizens Series (WCS) ski races have been Utah’s premier nordic skiing events since 1979. When the US Ski Team moved its coaching staff to Park City in the 1980’s, the WCS became a training ground for many of the country’s top skiers. The Park City Junior Nordic Ski Team has launched several young athletes to national recognition, and some of our older participants have consistently won National Masters titles. Members of several U.S. Olympic Teams, including Laura McCabe, Wendy Wagner, and Rosie Brennan, began their skiing careers in our races.

This is a 10-kilometer free technique (skate) race with start and finish in the stadium. Shorter distances for youngsters, oldsters, novices, and sit skiers. Western skijoring is an action packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course that includes gates, jumps, and rings. Join us on March 2-3, 2018 at Soldier Hollow for this fast action sport! Skijoring is an egalitarian event open to any and everyone who has a passion for horses or skiing, or both. And if your love for these two also includes fast speeds and friendly competition, then skijoring may just be your calling.
